James Leo â€śJimâ€ť Taylor, 77 of Lumberton, TX., passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in Beaumont. He was born to J.C. and Grace Ida Taylor on May 25, 1940 in Beaumont, Texas.
Jim was a retired carpenter who proudly build cabinets for many years. He was a good and loyal son. Jim made sure to live close to his parents and providing for the family during the lean years. Any new gadget that came out, he bought for mom. Being outdoors with his three-legged Chihuahua, â€śCasperâ€ť and attending to his loving animals was a passion of his. Growing roses, wine making, working on lawn mowers and inventing things were some of his favorite activities. On occasion, one can catch him watching his favorite old western TV shows. Jim may have come across as a crusty old guy, but once you where blessed to know him, he became a true friend. Jim was a faithful servant and a true lover of nature. Jim will be greatly missed but his legacy will continue with his loving family.
Left to honor Jimâ€™s memory are his sons, James Kenneth Taylor Sr., Roger Lynn Taylor and Johnny Howard Taylor all of Lumberton TX; brothers, Marvin H. Taylor and Larry D. Taylor of Lumberton TX; sisters, Judy N. Bryant and husband, Jerry Bryant and Kathy E. Phelps and husband, Kevin Phelps all of Lumberton, TX; grandchildren; Tiffaney Taylor of San Marcus TX., James Kenneth Jr. Taylor, Randy Lynn Taylor, Matthews Taylor, Annette Taylor, Christina Taylor and Johnathan Taylor all of Lumberton TX; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; special close friend, Diane Lowe.
Preceding Jim in death is the love of his life, Annette Adams; parents, J.C. and Grace Ida Gore; son, Randy Lynn Taylor and brothers, Jerry C. Taylor, Ronald Scott Taylor and Tommy E. Taylor.
Jimâ€™s family will be receiving friends Monday, February 12, 2018, at 6:00 pm at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 North 4th St. Silsbee TX. A life honoring memorial service is scheduled for 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
